Peter M. Habib & Associates, Inc. founded in 1973 is a Certified Public Accounting firm located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. We offer a wide variety of accounting services to individuals and businesses providing our clients with personal services from the principles of the firm who have worked together for over 10 years. Peter M. Habib

President, Certified Public Accountant

Peter M. Habib is the founder and a shareholder of Peter M. Habib & Associates, Inc. and has over 38 years of accounting experience. Peter received his B.S. in accounting from Point Park College in 1968. Prior to starting his own accounting firm, Peter was a Partner at Chiurazzi, Habib & Case, a medium sized regional full service accounting firm. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant for the state of Pennsylvania, a member of Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and National Association of Accountant. Peter is the President and Financial Secretary of Our Lady of Victory Church Council and Treasurer at St. Maron Society.


Joseph T. Habib

Certified Public Accountant, Master of Science in Taxation

Joseph T. Habib is a shareholder at Peter M. Habib & Associates, Inc. and has over 23 years of accounting experience. He received his M.S.T. from Robert Morris College. Prior to joining Peter M. Habib & Associates, Joseph was a CPA for Coopers & Lybrand (now Price Waterhouse Coopers) a Big 5 Company. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant for the state of Pennsylvania, a member of Pennsylvania Society of Accountants. Joseph is Treasurer of Our Lady of Victory Church.


David Habib

Certified Public Accountant

David J. Habib is a shareholder and senior auditor at Peter M. Habib & Associates, Inc. and has over 22 years accounting experience. He received his B.S. from St. Vincent College. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the state of Pennsylvania and a member of Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants.


Heather M. Knauss

Accountant, Auditor

Ms. Knauss has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Robert Morris University. She is currently working towards her certification.

Ms. Knauss has been a member of the firm since 2003. She is responsible for accounting, auditing and tax services for many business clients including tax services to individuals, corporations and partnerships. Areas in which she has experience include nonprofit organizations and small businesses.


Norm Mahfood

Accountant

Norman Mahfood graduated from The Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Accounting and a minor degree in Business Law. Norman has 2 years experience in Accounting, Individual Tax Return Preparation, Corporate Tax Return Preparation, and Auditing.


Kim Pruss

Office Assistant

Kim Pruss has over 25 years of experience as a secretary and has been employed at Peter M. Habib & Associates since 2004. She received her Associate Degree in Executive Secretarial Siences from the Community College of Beaver County. Prior to working at Peter M. Habib & Associates, Kim was a secretary for Bishop John B. McDowell Regional School and Westinghouse Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory.


Dana Zarecki

Administrative Assistant

Dana Zarecki has been with the firm since 2007 and is the firm's administrative assistant. Dana responsible for the accounts receivable department and assists the professional staff in the assembly and processing of Individual and corporate tax returns.
